Those who recommend inspection
(1) Those who are uncertain whether they have been infected with the new corona in the past and are wondering whether to vaccinate.
* Even if you have had the new corona in the past, vaccination is recommended by WHO and others.
(2) Those who have no side reactions after vaccination and are worried whether the vaccine is really working.
③ I am worried that the first vaccine will have a strong side reaction and I will be able to hit the second vaccine.
④ Those who want to check their antibody titer before and after vaccination.

Peplomer antibody
I think that some people have already started vaccination with the new coronavirus and have already completed the second vaccination. As a result of large-scale clinical trials, a high preventive effect of 95% has been reported, but some people may be wondering if they are able to acquire antibodies properly. The mRNA vaccine exerts a preventive effect on the onset of COVID-19 by inducing an antibody against the spike (S) protein that is present on the surface of the virus and plays an important role in the establishment of infection. Antibodies to the spike (S) protein are good indicators of pre-infection with the new coronavirus and antibody acquisition after vaccination, and are considered to have activity as neutralizing antibodies that inhibit the binding between the virus and human cells. Has been done.
Structure of the new coronavirus
It is a spherical virus with a diameter of about 100 nm that has protrusions on its surface.
Its shape resembles a crown, hence the name corona, which means crown in Greek.
It is covered with a lipid bilayer, in which is the positive-strand single-stranded RNA genome (gene) wrapped around the nucleocapsid (N) protein. Spike (S) protein, envelope (E) protein, and membrane (M) protein are arranged on the surface. The size of the genome that holds the genetic information is 30 kb, which is the largest size among RNA viruses. By the way, the influenza virus genome is about 10 kb.
Estimated antibody titer in spike antibody test
-Result of plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT)-
In a cell culture test (Placque Reduction Neutralization Test (PRNT)) to confirm that the virus level is reduced to 50%, the probability profile example using a 1: 250 diluted PRNT ID 50 is 4,160 with a 95% confidence interval. Reported as AU / mL.
-Pfizer / Biontech antibody titer after vaccination-
Timing of Peplomer Protein Antibody Test
Many papers report that IgG antibody rises about 10 days after onset, and the positive rate after 14 days after onset is 100%.
〇People who are worried about past infections → Tests 14 days after the onset of symptoms 〇Vaccine effectiveness judgment → Approximately 1 month after the second inoculation
Antibody titer duration of new coronavirus
According to the announcement by the Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo, it is clear that the virus-induced antibody is maintained for at least 3 to 6 months after the onset in patients infected with the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). It has been announced that it was made.
[Judgment method]
The amount of antibody contained in the blood of 39 patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (COVID-19) was measured over time. The amount of antibody in the blood is the receptor binding region of S protein, which is the main antigen protein on the virus particle of SARS-CoV-2, the extracellular region of S protein, and the amount of virus in the virus particle of SARS-CoV-2. It was measured by ELISA and neutralization test using N protein bound to genomic RNA as an antigen.
【result】
Antibodies to the virus were detected around the 10th day of onset, and the antibody titer peaked around the 20th day of onset. After that, the antibody titer decreased with time, but the rate of decrease gradually slowed down, and the antibody was maintained for 3 to 6 months.
